In addition to her role as Regional Director, she was selected to coordinate volunteer activities to better our communities and the lives of others for all Manpower branches in the southeastern part of the country. Mary Helen worked alongside her team with employers of all sizes to help them find staffing solutions and worked with entry level candidates to seasoned executives to help each of them find meaningful work. Her competitive spirit, strong leadership and passion to make a positive difference for both employers and candidates led to the addition of territory to include Manpower operations across three states. Resourcefulness coupled with determination resulted in the opportunity to be hired as a recruiter in the office and then to be promoted to Branch Manager within a year, making her the youngest Branch Manager in the country. Mary Helen began her Manpower journey as a temporary employee working on various assignments. Prior to The Little Network, Mary Helen built a very successful career with Manpower. There is focus throughout the classes on what it means “to go the extra mile” and “ do the right thing” to build a story and personal brand that opens doors to a bright future. In addition to teaching primary skills, like building a resume and how to interview, Mary Helen teaches soft skills to include making a positive first impression, conflict resolution, effective communication and more. Mary Helen Little is the founder of The Little Network where Mary Helen works with students to encourage them to take actions now to pave a positive path forward into a life filled with opportunities.
